I haven't used my Admiral wringer made by Simplicity for quite sometime.
It has a six sided mount the agitator sits on. The washer was always fussy on how the agitator was lined up. It would stall and struggle to wash.
Today I thought it needed a drive. It would not wash. Few clothes low water.
As long as you pushed down on the cap it would sorta wash but just kinda grind.
After a few minutes could smell something hot.
There is a aluminum screen under the agitator. I took it out and tried again.
Washer works perfect.
Seeing the screen on the floor it does look kinda bent.
Do you really need the screen? It just seems to be scratching the bottom of the tub.
Model # 26A261. Serial # 386423.When was this washer made? It still looks pretty new.
