Avocado sweetness!
This weekend found a gorgeous Lady Kenmore washer and dryer set while picking up a table and chair set at a vintage furniture and accessories store outside of Buffalo.
The model with 14 pushbuttons in 2 rows, and the wood panel over the dryer controls.

Looked to be hardly used, the outside finish, tub, agitator, control panel &c looked pretty much mint. Priced at 800 but was down to 650 by the time I left and had dickered a bit with the owner, and probably still a little negotiable. Just not feasible for me at any price with a move upcoming in the relatively near future, but collector quality here for sure! Will post a pic shortly and give interested parties contact info...

Here ye be!
I'm guessing 1971? 1972?
Cut off the pic, but that's a box of Rinso on top!

These are at "Funky Town Vintage" near the Buffalo Airport.
Owner is Jay phone # is 716 780-2639... tell 'em Roger from Binghamton sent you!

If circumstances were different I'd be all over these, they don't come much nicer!

Different model years. Not a matched LK set.

Dryer is 1972 and washer is a 1966 model although they were built for several years after 1966. They are a cool set for sure.

Is the washer a full Lady or a 900?

The washer is actually a 1970 model 800. It would’ve come with a gold vari-flex agitator, a mercury lid switch, and the quiet package among the many other features. It’s a 2 speed machine.

Special none the less

I was going to say the dryer is a 74 given the plastic lint cover and door handle and the washer is a 68.
It's nice to see so many of us in the same ball field.

Even though they are not a matched set they are still a rarity at a half century on.

Thanks for sharing them.

sold as a set ONLY

Will sell for $600 and ONLY as a set. I offered for just the washer and it was a kind "no". No prior knowledge of its use. Was told "brand new" unused but due to what appears to be some very light powder residue along the agitator further up from the pics sent to me; I am guessing that they were used but probably very lightly? Pics could just be dust. Hard to tell.
