Learning to use again
question I have is what should the hot water heater be set at balancing for Dw and Clothes washers balancing cost of gas versus electric cost Also figuring out cycles not sure the differences | ||

 The user manual advises supply temperature of minimum 120°F to maximum 150°F. No more than 150°F in order to have effective cleaning and prevent damage to your dishware. It further says: We recommend that you select hot water instead of cold water from the faucet to reduce the time to heat up the water and to have the detergent properly dissolve in the water quickly in order to clean the dishware effectively. Your unit is equipped with heater that will automatically increase the water temperature quickly to remove grease and soil off the dishware and dissolve detergent properly. I take that to mean that the unit heats to a target temperature (which isn't stated) and can work with a cold supply (or less than the suggested 120°F) but the cycle time will be accordingly longer. Normal cycle is approximately 27 minutes, 42 minutes with Vented Dry. Heavy is approximately 42 minutes, 53 minutes with Vented Dry. The detergent dispenser is a simple open cavity on the door so it dumps immediately into the tub when the door is closed. That means the first fill is the one wash period on both Normal and Heavy. There's no information on how many rinses but I would guess two. Heavy presumably has a longer wash (and maybe heats to a higher temperature). Rinse/Hold is 6 minutes (presumably no water heating). Vented Dry apparently runs the drain pump during a dry period to function as a fan that pulls air into the tub and blows air and drip-off/evaporated moisture out the drain hose. | ||

It has 3 cycles Heavy Normal rinse And Hold Daddoes I think that is spot on It is running Heavy and the wash part ran for 30 minutes Rinse 1 is 10 minutes but may had to heat as water in pipes cooled down rinse 2 is 6 minutes but water may be hotter due to first rinse of 10 minutes Done and drying with door open and fan in kitchen running for ventilation | ||
