Nice Whirlpool Belt-Drive Set. But now, the dryer? I love the Full-Width Door on this one, but one in the Brady house has a Centered Swing Open Door, doesn’t it? —Charles— |

Wow, that Hass to be one of the finds of the year, to find a matched pair, and that condition is absolutely amazing, as we say it’s amazing what is still out there.
A picture of the model number plates we can tell exactly how old they are to me. It looks like they’re 1969 models and I could be off a year or so, The self cleaning filters in the washers occasionally with split and leak, I think they’re readily available if you can’t find one I have lots of them new in the box. Yes, we need more pictures. Maybe even some videos when you hook them up. John. |

Attached are some photos including the name plates. This weekend the real fun begins! I will start stripping the washer and cleaning the tubs, replace seal, and replace the pump. |

Well the cabinet is in great shape. To me that is the main thing for rebuilding a belt drive. Of course almost every one I work on these days has a bad center post. That’s to be expected after 53 years as these machines weren’t built to last that long. I don’t think water sat in that machine for a long time because the inside of the basket would be destroyed. There was just a lot of iron in the water that was run through that washer through the years. Hopefully you’ll have good luck with center post not being rotted through. That washer has the same timer as my 1971 whirlpool imperial 80. Can’t wait to see your good results with this machine. Hopefully yours has the fluorescent control panel lighting.
