Hey guys, after taking the tub off to clean the inside of my Bosch a 500 I think this might be rust but I’m honestly not sure considering that the entire machine Internals that come into contact with water I made of stainless steel

It could be rust

It doesn’t look serious, however probably nothing to worry about.

If a magnet sticks to the metal, it’s not real high-grade of stainless steel and it can rust.

Is it perhaps a deposit from water that contains a lot of iron?

Try doing a boil wash wit a few tablespoons of citric acid, that might remove it.

I’ll give that a try, but for what I know I don’t think my

Rain water tanks have much
Iron deposits, and I did test it with a magnet, and it is kind of cheap stainless as a magnet sticks to it, but considering that it’s been around since probably the early 70s and that’s really it, I think it’s holding up extremely well and I’ll pick up some citric acid next Tuesday, not this coming
