“They have been sitting unused in a basement for a few years. They worked when my grandparents quit using them. I did a quick test on them and the washer wouldn't drain. They are heavy, but the basement is a walkout that you can back right up to, so it won't be too bad to get them out.
$50 OBO for the set. Some of the original paperwork is included.”

Literature also has a 70(?) KM washer.  I liked the dark baskets on the lower end models.

I've not before seen a KM 500 with that toggle temp control.

Is that a "match all" dryer?

The washer is a 1969 model. I am very intrigued by the escutcheon on the washer. They are white on the 1969 500s, like the right side of this one where you see the 500 written, but this one has a mirrored finish that has been peeling off...to reveal the white underneath. Very interesting.

Have a good one,
James

Yess that's the Match-all dryer. And I've not seen a 500 like that before either.

I took a closer look and boy do I have it backwards. It is the white escutcheon flaking off, and the metal or chrome finish is behind it. It actually looks better with the metal/chrome exposed, but maybe that's just me. It looks great either way. 1969 was the first year that a 500 model had both a temperature and water level selector. This is the one right before the 1970 500 model my aunt and uncle had, which gave me much entertainment and that I loved dearly.
