We are getting closer to when they are ripping everything for our kitchen remodel. In the new space,I’ll be getting a Miele dishwasher and in the prep area / bar a single FP DishDrawer.

In the garage, I have my trusty and beloved KitchenAid KUDS22 which is in great shape. Being removed from the kitchen is a Bosch 800 series which I also really like.

My DH got rid of an old Cadillac convertible we have had in the garage for many years to make more space. I feel like I need to only have one dishwasher in the garage. So, here’s the question I want to get the AW opinion on: Keep the KUDS22 or keep the Bosch?

I’m leaning towards keeping the KUDS22 but wanted to see what the group thinks.

Personally I'd keep both but I'm leaning toward the Kitchen Aid just for the sake of nostalgia

Well if you do some entertaining, I would keep both and forget about the dish drawer dishwasher as it doesn't hold a lot. A second full size dishwasher holds a lot and will be a blessing in getting the overflow of dishes done. Just my opinion, as we have a second one and it really comes in handy, as we just got a new Kitchenaid dishwasher in the kitchen and it takes for ever to get the job done.

I have to agree - loose the dish drawer and keep the Bosch.  I've got a second DW down the basement, but there are times I wish I had one near by.  At this point I just stack the overflow rather than take is to the basement.

Ditch the pos dish-drawer. The one I (occasionally) use is totally lame and only good for washing coffee mugs and glasses. A waste of space.

I would definitely keep the KAid and try to find a minty KDS-18 to keep it company.
I am all about getting the job done quickly and thoroughly. I have no use for machines that demand you stand for 20 minutes carefully arranging every single piece of tableware just to assure a clean load----TWO hours later.

One more here for keeping the Bosch. You will not gain a lot of storage space with the single Dish drawer and a full size dishwasher will be far more use. It is so helpful when entertaining, I have two full size dishwashers in my kitchen and honestly I am not sure I could ever go back to one.

don't bother with the dish drawer - you will be better served with the full sized dishwasher in the prep area. No one I know that has one believes it was worth it - holds little and just seems like a gimmick. Let's go for functionality...hence the dishwasher.
