Whirlpool Dishwasher Model W10632084 A.
Not sure if this is a model that heats the water. But the water doesn’t seem to be getting very hot, even with running the water faucet before starting it. It doesn’t seem to be drying the dishes either. I unplugged it. I had read on the Internet that it would do some kind of reset of the board? Still doesn’t seem to be heating water or drying dishes.
This is a friend’s machine, wondering what to tell them to have the repairman check or if it’s something we could do ourselves would be helpful.
Thanks !!

did you check if its not a possible motherboard control failure on the dishwasher?

Check for motherboard failure

I’m not sure how to check for motherboard failure. The dishwasher will run all cycles and go through all it’s paces. Just not getting water hot or any drying heat.

if you can post a picture of the dishwasher itself or post a video of the dishwasher might help, and next time you run a cycle i would try to do the following if the dishwasher has a high temp wash option and sanitize rinse option turn those options on to see if it heats the water and check if the heat dry option is on and have a plumber check the water tempature of the water heater as well

Sounds to me just based upon the description that you may have a failed heating element, but I can't be sure without more information.

W10632084 A probably is a document number on the user instruction manual. The model/serial tag is affixed to the edge of the tub, visible when the door is open.

Brand/Model

They are running it with the “high temp” and “dryheat” option selected.
That is the model number on inside of door.
I’ll include pictures of badges and model number.

Model number

Is that the model number on the “America” sticker in the middle above?
W10537650 ??
Seems like an odd place. That’s a sticker on the front panel.

Model #

I’m not sure where else to find the model #.
The light grey sticker is from the inside door edge. The other sticker is on the outside door panel.
Here’s a control panel pic.

The model/serial tag should be on the edge of the tub frame, could be left or right side. This is a Frigidaire at a friend’s house where I’m visiting.

The heater may have been locked out by the computer

Run the dishwasher through diagnostics and it may reset, just push any three buttons three times in sequence all lights will come on and then let the dishwasher run for about 15 or 20 minutes till it turns off that will reset it.

Thanks John

Finally. Thanks John and Dadoes. Found the serial and Model #’s.
I got the diagnostic cycle to start. Waiting on that now.
I pick my friends up from the airport tomorrow. After running this diagnostic, maybe I’ll be able to tell them if they need to call the repair person to check the heat element out. Hopefully this will reset it.

Solution

My friends have replaced the heating element and that has fixed the issue. Although Weber still thinks it's not working comepletly properly because the plastics are not drying. I told them even in the most top of the line Dishwashers the plastics do not dry.

Is this the dishwasher with a hard food disposer or removable filter?
