You can see where one roller was spinning the shaft and caused wear. I think it will be okay, but wanted to get your opinions. The new felt seal for these do not have the lighter side like the book says, lol.

That felt seal looks similar to the one I installed on my Maytag DG606 back in the spring of 2019. Wouldn’t be surprised if Maytag just ended up using those felt seals on the SOH dryers despite them being completely different from the HOH’s. Probably re-used them since that’s what was in the parts bin so to speak.

too short or not

I was scared they would be too short after hearing how members were running into that.

Drum Rollers

The book says to lube these roller shafts on the rear bulkhead with s.b.l. oil. 55975 I think, but I cannot find a aftertaste, anywhere of what that is. LoL

Lubricating, drum rollers

One or two drops of light machine, oil, turbine, oil, bicycle oil, sewing machine, oil, etc. will work just fine. Nothing special about it.

The damage around the roller shaft is caused by the steel wave washer behind the roller. I have seen them cut all the way thru the metal, and the shaft and roller drop off! All replacement rollers come with plastic washers to replace the steel one. Be sure not to reuse the steel washer.
