Awkwad that it is labeled as combo. It doesn't have a built in dryer.

Maybe they mistook the 30 amp cord on the back as meaning it was a combo when the Professional operates on a 30 amp circuit.

What kills me is seller apparently researched enough information on this Miele washer to get MSRP and himself a few images to upload. But somehow, somehow he missed bit that PW6068 is a washing machine only.

It's also rather suspect seller used generic Miele image from their site or elsewhere of washer for landing page image. One must scroll through subsequent photos to see images of actual appliance on offer.

That being said with bidding at > $500 and likely to go higher by close, one is sure those going after this unit know what they're getting.

Having been diddled a few times by HiBid auctions reinforces one's view of "buyer beware". While one cannot be totally sure of state of said item and or operating condition before bidding, one must make totally sure one knows exactly what is being offered.

There are times when a seller not knowing what they've got can work to one's advantage. Case in point being my AEG Lavamat washer and Lavatherm dryer. Seller didn't know what he/she had and totally messed up on electrical requirements, thus units wouldn't shift. One could thus bide one's time after listing after listing failed to even get a nibble. In end got units for pennies....

The damaged front panel was enough to turn me off on this one. Would love to upgrade my 6065 to an all stainless 6068. I wonder if the folks bidding saw the damage?

Ben

"I wonder if the folks bidding saw the damage?"

If they didn't more is pity as both auction copy and images clearly state washer is damaged. How "cosmetic" said damage is however cannot be told from pictures. One would have to examine item in person and preferably plug it in to test.

That being said Miele "Little Giant" laundry appliances are rather rugged. Those dents and marks do indicate damage, but don't think enough to cause unit not to function properly. Sides and rear of washer seem fine, but again that may not say much.

Seller claims unit is "new", which it may very well be despite rather worn appearance.

Transit bars seem to be still in place which always is a good sign.

This is one of those "Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair APPLIANCES, FURNITURE, RUGS" overstock sort of auctions.

There are locations where Amazon, Wayfair and other retailers unload unsold, damaged and other goods in bulk lots. These have become happy pickings for various online dealers including those who do fleaPay and other auctions. Huge amount of what is offered on HiBid comes from such auctions.

This particular seller/auction has good amount of major appliances and HVAC equipment on offer.

Have said this before and is worth repeating with HiBid and similar platforms one must do due diligence. Once hammer falls one now owns item, period. Credit card used to sign up to action will be charged for full amount including taxes, fees, surcharges and buyer's premium. There are no refunds and if one does not collect item that will be that; payment is forfeited.

Unlike eBay there isn't even a way to leave negative feedback for deals gone south. As mentioned have been diddled a few times and only response from HBid seller was "tant pis".

HiBid does have an internal feedback system but it's only open to sellers who rate buyers. Latter cannot access, challenge or otherwise have any recourse to what is written in said feedback by a vendor. If buyer say stops payment or initiates a chargeback because item was clearly not was it was supposed to be, seller didn't and or won't deliver, etc... too bad. Once such feedback is left many other Hibid vendors will start blocking said person from bidding on their auctions.
