Well, that's a pig in a poke. There is no information as to the size of this unit like 8 or 18 thousand BTUs or whether the heat cycle is straight resistance or reverse cycle.

One is inclined to give these persons doing estate or similar auctions some slack. Most are doing their best within scope of their occupation or profession.

That is to say one does not expect these people to run to ground specific details about every thing their charged with selling. That would be a colossal task given amount of stuff they've got to move within a limited period of time.

Common theme to all auction is buyers should do their own due diligence including asking questions. Have found invariably if one simply sends a query to an fleaPay, HiBid, Invaluables or any other similar listing they will respond with information best of their knowledge.

Above bit of palaver not withstanding one's standard comment on such matters still applies. Seller's not knowing what they've got, but one does, has proven a boon time and time again.

From almost totally new AEG w&d set to highly sought after collectibles and so on one has nabbed things rather cheaply because seller simply didn't know what they've got and listed accordingly.

Listing items for auction

It makes no sense, especially when something is listed as new and unused not to include a model number if they actually would like to sell it, there’s just too many variables with something like an air conditioner for somebody to bid on it without knowing what it is.

Seller didn't say "new", I did. Auction advert merely states "never installed".

As with previous vintage Sanyo AC one listed obviously there are people out there that know what this unit is and so on going by heavy bidding.
