Currently crusiing through the Persian Gulf to Dubai. Guest laudry onboard "Azamara Journey" is 6 Speedqueen stacked washers and dryers. Seem to be used almost continuously 13 hours per day ( 8 am- 9pm ). I have used them on multiple occasions and they work well but are gentle on clothes. Short wash not adequate but standard wash gets everything clean however there does seem to be a slight difference depending on detergent. Earlier in cruise there was a 3 compartment wash pack to use but in the last week, a yellow liquid only one pack detergent supplied. The three component pack seemed to get white cottons a little brighter. These machines sell back in Australia for for $A8 000 per pair. Expensive but it would only have to last twice as long as a normal washer+dryer to be better value.

Looks like whoever’s in charge of buying the laundry equipment for the company has great taste. I don’t think I’ve seen the stacked units with the pre-2018 residential style control panel on them before. I don’t think I’ve seen the glass dryer doors either. One of those would be fun to put on a regular SQ dryer. Thanks for sharing!
