I was staining a friend's deck and she hollored out the window do you want a cup of coffee?
I said, sure. Five minutes later this fog of caffine came rolling out the window.
I asked her what kind of coffee is that?
She said her drip coffee maker quit and why buy a new one when she had the one she got as a wedding gift.
I found the same pot the next day in the junk store. Makes great coffee and the reheat is great and the coffee is hot and doesn't taste like dirt or twigs.

If you find these GE pot belly perks, make sure you buy one with the black plastic trim. The older ones with the brown plastic trim are chrome over copper construction and are not as durable as the stainless steel pots.

The Garrison's, who were my Godparents and neighbors around the corner, had one of those GE coffeemakers. I'm quite certain it had brown trim, as they already had it when I was very young (late 1950's).

This perk had a well that held maybe a cup of water around the pump recess so it could perk as few as 2 cups of coffee. I believe that the capacity was stated as 2-9 cups.

Am not a fan of perk coffee but those GE automatic pots do seem to have a huge following. This one went for good money in line with what has often seen for NIB or close to similar when up for bid.
