2015 TL Hotpoint HSWP1000M4WW fairly BOL model washer, bought new, making some sort of light metallic clanking noises (not always) while in agitation mode, no other issues, still works/cleans fine otherwise. Has 2 piece agitator with screw action top and straight vanes on bottom. Ideas anyone?

GE Hydrowave:) Remove front panel and see if part of the motor frame is resting on the bottom panel when it is pushed down by water/load weight. |

Yes, indeed reply number one is correct, the front frame where the struts hang usually bends on these machines you can sometimes straighten that front frame at the top of the cabinet or replace it, you can also often times bend the metal brackets out-of-the-way that were used for the shipping brace when the machine was shipped That might be sufficient to stop the interference and noise.
