Hello i have a maytag set i removed while delivering a set of whirlpool Dd to this nice lady. She said her maytag washer has finally given out and wont spin and she couldnt find parts. Well after getting it home and taking it apart i found a pair of underwear jammed between the tubs its now out and washer works great again. I want to take it apart as much as i can without damaging anything. I am atleast wabting to take the tub out and clean the inner and outer tub. Go thru the timers and clean all the contacts and make sure they arenin tip top shape. Any advice on this set? I refurbish appliances daily just not this old. Also what would this set be worth cleaned up really well and working good? I would put em in my house but already have a nice 2015 speed queen set that i refurbished for my wife.

For resale, you'd probably be hard pressed to get what you put into them counting parts and labor.

Thats not to say they aren't worth rehabbing, they definitely are, but don't expect to turn a profit.

She might love her old Maytags enough to take them back from you for the cost of your labor, and the DD pair are certainly worth more to the average buyer than the significantly older and smaller capacity Maytags if you were to put them back on your sales floor.
