My beloved 1965 turquoise Lady Kenmore washer (model 110.6504900) is not supplying the correct wash/rinse temperatures. I fear that something in the thermostatic water valve has failed and my track record on repairing them is abysmal.
Would anyone happen to know the replacement part number or perhaps the part number for the compatible Whirlpool model? I apologize in advance if the picture orientation is "wrong"... seems I don't know how to take pictures according to "experts" in vintage appliance FB groups...

Hi Paul, these are easy to rebuild. You don’t say what is wrong with yours, the thermostatic ones they quit building years ago however, I have a lot of new triple valves that will fit in your machine and give you the correct temperatures.
If you don’t want to rebuild your existing one, send it to me I’ll rebuild it and send it back. John |

John, thank you! I'll probably do just that.
I am not getting all temperatures from the pre-programmed settings. I can get hot water for wash in the Cottons & Linens White and Wash And Wear White cycles but the medium settings for cycles like Cottons & Linens Non Colourfast, Wash and Wear Colored, and Delicate Fabrics are all pretty cold. And the warm setting for the Washable Woolens is running cold. Without taking it apart, it seems as if either the warm solenoid has failed OR more likely something in the thermostatic control itself (which is what I've had previous trouble with so many of my other machines). Cold wash and rinse are working fine.
If I can, I'll get the SOB extracted and send it to you before I vanish to Brazil this winter!
