I'm wondering where I can purchase the lid lock mechanism that goes in the slot so I can run my washer with the lid open. I'd like to be able to do this in case I ever need to diagnose any issues and also it'd just be cool to be able to do it sometimes. :) However, I don't really want to unscrew the one that's actually in the machine already, because I don't want to mess anything up. I'd much rather just buy an extra one and put in in there whenever I'd like without tinkering with any parts.

I've seen several parts on Amazon that could be the right thing, but I'm not sure. Some parts call themselves lid lock assembly, some say lid lock strike, etc. Can someone just give me a correct part number so I can order the right thing?

Thanks,

Ryne

Part number is W10837741. It can be purchased through a wide variety of retailers. I have linked an E-Bay listing of a brand new OEM strike. I’ve bought from the seller before and had no issues.
Hope this helps,
Thatwasherguy.

The link wouldn't open for me until I culled-out a bunch of the extraneous coding.  It works *after* viewing it without that code.

Try this as an alternate if having difficulties.  Parts Knight - W10837741
