Looks to be in nice shape except for the two left burners. Very doubtful they will ever recognize $350.. more like having to pay someone to take it away.

What is the wire coil across the front of the bottom of the oven?  It is separate from the bake element.

It's a guard to keep you from burning your potholder as you pull out the oven shelf. Kinda a good idea with those elements that are straight along the front without a diffuser or anything. Here's the analogous item for the edge of an oven rack.

Yes, the wire guard in front of the bake element is to protect fingers and potholders from touching the hot element, I’m sure this was a Canadian requirement as they had stronger safety standards. This is definitely a Canadian model as it doesn’t have the speed burner which was never done in Canada because of the increased danger of the element shorting out.

Actually I wonder if that coil was a "thing" for all the French door stoves to give a little extra safety margin since the door wasn't right there.

Dammit... I have one of these in Sunny Yellow that is on my restoration list for when I get back to Canada in April. If I were around, I try to get the price down and use this as a parts donor... I need that rear glass control panel badly!
