These machines probably came from the auction when marathon, liquidated everything they were the company that was trying to build combination washer dryers, starting with a Speed Queen front loader.
If you could get them for around 1000 bucks it’s a good deal. It has less options on the cycling than the regular residential model and bear in mind There is only a one year Warranty on parts no labor whatsoever although the odds of needing a warranty on a Speed Queen front loader is very small. Those SQ washers up for bid last year via Marathon liquidation sale sold at low amounts for many reasons. Chief among them sale was way out in Wisconsin, then it was cash only (IIRC) and no shipping.
Washers sold for low of $400 to high of or at $550 IIRC, again which was a steal. Well if you lived in area and or otherwise close enough that shipping cost wasn't so dear. For many others even at $1k (eBay auction) once freight shipping charges and taxes are added, total price likely will come near to just buying new from a local dealer. |
