Samsung dryer, inlet air duct
The holes in the gas inlet duct are necessary to help temper and cool the air slightly. You can use the electric duct in the gas dryer, but be sure to cut identical holes in the electric duct. Otherwise the heat may come into the dryer at such a temperature as it may cause a fire, setting the clothing on fire that is.
You could not use the gas air duct on an electric one because it would cause the heating element overheat, and either cycle on the high limit or blow. The thermal fuse on the heater box. What is wrong with your gas in the air duct? It looks fine in the picture? John | ||
