I've been seeing more and more when appliances have several color options that when you choose white, the price goes up... in some cases I've seen it as much as going up $200... I just saw a maytag dishwasher that is $559 stainless, but the white was like $700s.. It used to be the opposite. Some models don't even have the color white...but ONLY stainless. Stainless seems to be the cheapest option where white used to be...
Is it because stainless is considered "standard" now where "white" used to be? |

I was browsing the costco website
they seem to be the only company that if you buy an appliance (at least the dishwashers I was looking at on there) the haulaway, installation are included in the price and you get a 2 year warranty but guess what... NONE of them had the option for white.. they were all stainless.. I mean, I guess stainless matches white so you could possibly get a stainless appliance while the others were white.... and I guess as each appliance slowly died and had to be replaced you could ultimately end up with all stainless. Oh well I have a stainless toaster and coutertop oven... so.. |
