Okay, they call it "UltraReverse" now.
But still: The only home dryer with seperate fan motor on the market right now.

That's triple inverter technology: drum motor, process air fan and compressor.
I am SO close to selling my VZug dryer...

Not you selling the V-Zug! 😱

The specs of the Haier are interesting. Nice big drum. It also has a filter in front of the heat pump, which I like. Unfortunately, the manual is not very informative. You can adjust the "wind" in 5 speeds but what for exactly? No description of the cycles but their name. I'm not seeing it sold anywhere yet.

The VZug dryer is impressive in some ways, and disappointing in others - even disregarding price.

Especially drum size is just pretty small for todays standards, its bedding performance is OK at best. And ii isn't particularly quiet.
Not gonna sell the washer - there's just nothing like it.
But the dryer 🤷

Actually have to correct myself in one statement though. Technically, there is a second dryer with separate fan motor.
VZug's Combi dryer with the room dehumidification has a separate fan and drum motor.

I was kind of confused about why you have adjustable fan speed aswell - but I mean why not?
However would have liked a table in the manual for what to use for what.

Reading through the manual though, I am not 100% certain it actually has a variable speed compressor since it lacks speed and eco options.
However, given it's A+++ -10%, has variable temp settings AND the user adjustable fan speed, I still think it's highly likely it has one to compensate all these facts onto each other.

Yes, the V-Zug drum volume is identical to the Privileg dryer we had in the 80s - which did have a dedicated fan motor, I think.

Well, if you find a retailer, you can let us know how you are going to decide. :)

Per the parts manual, this Fisher & Paykel also has a dedicatd fan motor.

The F&P has been on the market some time and is on sale in the UK.

That doesn't allow for variable fan speeds, but has the typical cycle optimizers (Speed, Eco, Quiet) which will have more use.
But should be the same base dryer per se.
Also has many more cycles, much more "useful" IMO.

Actually was toying with the idea to make a UK trip like I did to Switzerland for the VZugs.

But that's a bit down the road...

F&P laundry is pretty cool. MrLaundry101, who's on here as well, has a washer and the videos are impressive. I wish Haier would also sell F&P in Europe.
