*LOL*

Seriously, no one can really answer that question because none of us know what's out there.

Vintage appliance world continuously surprises us all when up out of nowhere something NOS and vintage pops up. Usually something stashed away in a long closed appliance shop that never sold. That and or said new appliances were delivered to a home then promptly shoved aside and regarding as surplus to requirements.

Above being said and not withstanding laws of vintage appliance collection clearly state following:

1. When something "NIB" or "NOS" does pop up it won't be anywhere remotely in your area.

2. Upon getting said "new" appliance home something will be wrong requiring repair and perhaps a part or parts long since obsolete.

Hahahaha!

Restoration

You’d be a lot better off restoring an old washer and dryer. In my opinion, that’s part of the fun about getting one, is you get to clean it up and fix it yourself. It brings more sentimental joy to it in my opinion

Can be a lot of fun, but costly, depending on parts. My '94 Kenmore was rebuilt almost entirely. New motor, new gearcase, near timer, new tub support, brake tube assembly. Yeah it was expensive but its nice having that piece of mind.
