Just found out this morning that appliancesconnection.com has closed down their entire site. I was called by the delivery company to tell me that though my new dishwasher in physically in my state, they can't deliver it as all business operations have ceased. I had to call and open a dispute with Discover Card. Hope this gets resolved and I get my money back. Guess I will have to buy local going forward.

Polished Appliances (parent company of Appliances.com) bit off more than they could chew by purchasing latter. As wont to happen in such situations, well did; Polished Appliances has filed for bankruptcy.

Nearly 1/2 of all major appliances

Are still sold by locally owned independent, businesses, or small chains that are located in or near the city where the appliances are installed.

I’ve never seen any point in dealing with a national chain to buy appliances, the biggest seller of appliances in the Washington Baltimore area is Bray & Scarff. They have 35 trucks on the road delivering and installing appliances After that you have a lot of independent retailers like Appliance Land, Dads Appliance just name a few and there’s still quite a few small guys like us that do appliances.

You’re just going to end up with better service and installation, and we’re competitive or cheaper in price than the big guys. Like Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc.

John.

Brain scarf.   :-)

John, you need to review and correct your voice-dictated posts before submitting, there are many wrong words and misspellings in them.
