Everytime i do laundry in my modern daily driver washer (*reference at start of post) i dream of a simpler washer turn the dial to set wash time set wash rinse temp like another exemple bedsheets hot water wash warm rinse from a 6 minute super wash if a 1972 inglis washer with mountable liquid fabric softer dispenser and brush lint filter high water level (large)let washer do cycle and then move on to to the dryer for drying cycle and if you could go back in time what washer dryer would you bring back as daily drivers in your home?

Scrap the water and energy regs and we can have just that---aSIMPLE dial-mechanical.No electronics to be blown out by lightening or surges.Lets let the OWNER be in charge NOT the govt!!!!

A lot of us here are still using what u described, myself included. I’ve toyed with the idea of having a modern front loader..so that I could wash pillows and bulky items that I can’t put in my old school washer, but haven’t gotten there yet
What machine are u using now that’s got you dreaming of going back?

I'm currently living that dream through a Speed Queen AWN412. Though am scared of the future once my Speed Queen is used beyond repair. Unless they bring back EM timers I'm eventually going to have to resort to washing my clothes in a bucket.

I have four washers available for use, all with electronic controls.  I have no complaints on the point of electronics.
