Hello! One of these dryers is for sale near me for $100. Were Whirlpool dryers still good in 1993? Are there any issues I need to be aware of? How computerized is it? I can't find a lot of info online. The seller says it works as it should.

Any pictures of the machine? Since it’s a Whirlpool 29” dryer, not much to go wrong.

If it’s in good overall condition and you want a good dryer you can’t beat it.

How computerized is it?
It has a small electronic board that controls the mechanical timer for the moisture sensor auto-dry function, and possibly some other aspects.  The board is expensive but they don't seem to fail very often.  Used and repaired boards can often be found on eBay.

The correct model number is LEV7858AW0 (zero at the end, not letter O).  The serial number is coded for the year and week of production.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your help! The older dryers get snapped up so quickly here. We’re a family of 4 with uniforms and sports clothes and have a lot of laundry. Our terrible Samsung failed right before its 8th birthday. I was glad to find this one. Thank you for the info on the board and the correct model number. I’d prefer no board but this will work. I appreciate your help!!
