Found in an alley next to trash bins: a DD from about 2005:motor was locked up from a bandana in the pump-removed that and then washed a test load :) 2nd was a 1996 MT orbital:black dust all over the base plate... have not tried to run this one yet,but turning the transmission pully, seems all good mechanicly

The DD was a good score with a simple fix.

The DC will need a damper (and pads) which are getting tricky to find, especially at a decent price with a mirror smooth finish. The damper is probably the reason it was kicked to the curb.

I pushed home an Orbital last week myself.

LAT5005ABV

Frost warning so flushed the pump and valves with some antifreeze and tarp it up.

This question of Damper pads has me interested how hard would it be to improvise a replacement part for it

The pulley were clean and dry from what I can see.
This washer was owned by a little old 95 year old woman that lived alone I don't think there was a lot of use on it.

Passed on the Hotpoint dryer.
No room for it.

Past on another Orbital up the road with an oily pulley because I figured it was run to destruction and I had no space.

I push home an awful lot of stuff pensioners put to the road when they more out of their homes.
I wonder when my time comes how much of my stuff will be at the road too.
