I was at an Alabama Power Company office this morning and saw this Speed Queen washer and the matching dryer.  I like the matte black color - from a distance.  But it is very textured.  I think once it were in use it would be very difficult to keep it clean.  There's enough texture on the surface that I can't imagine being able to wipe it off with a cloth or a sponge.  Maybe vacuum the pair weekly?

The appearance is quite striking, I will admit.  And if the looks don't grab you the price will.

Is "gentle" code for weak, ineffective agitation?

My dealer friend has a set of those on the showroom floor.. It seems that it would be hard to clean, with lint, detergent powder, etc.

New Matt Black Speed Queens

They wipe off very easily and nicely with just a damp cloth and they show less finger prints etc than the gloss black 1985 Lady Kenmore Limited Edition washer and dryer we have.

You won't have to be getting out the vacuum cleaner, lol
