Top-of-the-line GE V12 washer.

This was one of the best looking GE washers of the 60s. We have the top-of-the-line version from a year or two later, where it actually had the four speed clutch the machine actually had four separate agitation speeds , However, they only gave you two speed choices for the spin speeds, which was more than adequate.

Did not have the bleach dispenser built into the front of the cabinet. They may have discontinued it by the time ours was made in 1966 While an interesting feature, it caused an awful lot of rust problems. I think they wisely discontinued it.

The matching dryer had the compensated control thermostat system. It had a very simple to use auto dry cycle. GE did not use an electronic dry sensor system for another couple years.
