Neat KitchenAid washer
This was the final electronically controlled KitchenAid direct drive top load washer, I think whirlpool had a top-of-the-line washer with the same control in it, both of these were pretty rare.
By this time, all the attention was on the front loading washers and the calypso so there weren’t a lot of high-end standard top loaders sold. That water pump with the check valve built into it was also used on a number of whirlpool machines, such as some of the 27 inch whirlpool Twin Twins, I always keep both in my truck. I use a surprising number of those with the check valve built-in them. John | ||
