I have never seen this trim before. Client had a bad pump seal. I don't carry the KitchenAid pump on the truck and had to order the pump. I don't know what age the washer is. Client had an Armis contract which was ridiculous. They don't approve repairs while onsite. Only after 12-24hours do they finally make a decision. I did the repair while there and held a personal check as collateral if Armis didn't follow through. I had fun punching in the spin cycle and cancelling all with the touch of a button. Wonderfully novel experience compared to ratcheting a dial.

Neat KitchenAid washer

This was the final electronically controlled KitchenAid direct drive top load washer, I think whirlpool had a top-of-the-line washer with the same control in it, both of these were pretty rare.

By this time, all the attention was on the front loading washers and the calypso so there weren’t a lot of high-end standard top loaders sold.

That water pump with the check valve built into it was also used on a number of whirlpool machines, such as some of the 27 inch whirlpool Twin Twins, I always keep both in my truck. I use a surprising number of those with the check valve built-in them.

James, serial numbers are coded for the week and year of factory production.  Model numbers are coded for the year of model introduction.

L-61 service manual "Washers and Dryers with Fifth Generation Solid State Electronic Control Systems" is copyright dated 1995.

Whats the check valve for? IIRC Frigidaire washers from the 2000s with the electric drain pump had one.
