I found this crazy huge Salton warming tray at the Goodwill the other day and of course I had to have it, but it doesn't take a standard Salton cord, nor does it take the cord for a salton cart. Has anyone any experience in this area?

Dan, what does the receptacle for the cord look like on this one?  Please post a picture if you can.

Here’s the power cord base, with a Salton cart cord and a tabletop cart cord. As you can see, a the cart cord might work, but the enclosure is too small.

I may have something that would fit this.  I'm still on hiatus in Brazil, returning to Canada next week.  I should be down at the house in Ogden where my parts and supplies are all stored after April 27th, though...  I'll have a look for you when I get back.

Just for kicks and giggles, what is the wattage of that monster, please?

750 beautiful watts :-)

Thanks, Paul. I'm in no rush. I'm not sure in what universe I would ever use this, but I'd never seen one like it, so there you go :-)

So weird to see this post---was just yesterday at a neighborhood yard sale in Palm Springs and one seller had 3 of the bigger trays (albeit not as big as these) from various generations of Salton...

There are at least two correct cords on Ebay under Salton hot tray-page 2! Greg

Our department wound up with one of the Salton hostess carts. I don't know how. It was something only the higher end stores would sell. I asked if I could buy it but my manager was not in favor of the idea. One day we were moving stuff in the stock room and he let a big box fall on top of it and there were only glass, metal and wood shards left. It was sad.

I have one of those warmers - they really are table length. I'll look at the cord again, but I thought it was similar to a small appliance cord (like you'd use for a coffee pot).

That’s what it looks like to me also, Kevin, but I’ve tried a zillion of them (I seriously have a zillion of them) but the plug is always just a tad too big for the outlet.

Maybe you could sand down the outside so it will fit.

Tom, I'm flattered that you are assuming a competency on my part that is quite unrealistic ;-)

So I tried Tom's suggestion, and it worked! The Super Salton has power! 750 glorious watts of resistance heating :-)

That's perfect for those outdoors indoors luxury barbecue buffets that our Hyacinth is so fond of.
