Was it me or every apartment built in the 70s had either this or the GE one with the one knob on it?

BOL for sure. Well, at least it washed dishes.

Our Neighbours had a GE dishwasher that looked more or less like the HDS300. It was a bit different though, I remember a big handle over the full width of the door and the door lock and the timer lower like that model on the door. The HDS 300 seems to have a bit of a control panel on top, the machine our neighbours had didn't have that.
