SOMEONE - JUMP on this one as it appears it is a matched set. Ad suggests it might be, hope so:

" Price is for the pair. Matching set in good condition, have been in storage last four years
Light bar on washer works and all settings are functional on both units
Pictures are of washer only, dryer is in same condition, can provide picture if needed.
**For pick up only** "

Rocker Switches

mrb627's profile picture
I know the rocker on the left is for second rinse. Is the one on the right for suds saver or soak + wash / wash only switch?

Agitator?

Gold super roto-swirl with Kenmore badged cap or penta vane?

Malcolm -

I am pretty sure that rocker you asked about is a soak selector. The suds function would be a setting on the timer dial.

Agitator is a Gold Roto-Swirl.

I can say nothing with certainty on these but I would say 1971-73.  My best guess would be super root-swirl.  Those with documentation????

Lid

My initial guess was at the gold super roto swirl, but the lid without the chrome handle but rather the notched cutout gave me pause on the machine capacity...

Malcolm

I think Gordon may have confirmed my initial suspicions.

I had a machine in my storage trailer (which got looted a few years back) which was model number 110.7304811. This is a 1973 model. I think this machine is much the same, if not exact. The flat detergent dispenser bezel (a 1972 change) and the 1972-type graphics around the timer dial, which were also used on the 1972 700 and 1972 Lady are hints at the machine's vintage.

I'll post a link below to a 2009 thread of mine (see reply number 6 and 7).

Rebuild? Sure Malcolm, we could do that, however I've got a few I have to do first.

I just looked at that link for the first time - " Post# 361845 , Reply# 14 7/5/2009 at 12:21pm (1,726 days old) by kenmoreguy64 (Charlotte, NC) " -and I agee...look at the sea of colors!

another reminder, looking at all those uniquely different machines, where we came and where we are now (mostly a shiny electronic scourge of disappointing reliability). Oh well.

That puts the cap on my day at aw.org - thanks.

Gordon,

Perhaps you have a machine that you would be willing to rebuild and sell off...

Gordon-
Just looked at your collection you had posted on that thread a while back.
I was amazed by the number of beauty's that you have.
You've got quite the collection- lots of interesting machines. They certainly don't build them like that anymore.

Rick
