 This style also had a similar side-by-side. Designed by Sundberg-Ferar for Sears/Whirlpool.
There was a thread about an older Coldspot/Whirlpool refrigerator just the other day, here. Also by Sundberg-Ferar (for Flora!).

Mid 80s Sears Refrigerators
These were very good refs and it was the last of the real porcelain on steel interiors for Sears refs Made By Whirlpool.
When WP bough the Kitchen-aid name they came out with a line of KA Refs that had real POS interiors, POS meat and vegetable drawers and extensive use of metal instead of plastic in the interiors [ 1987 ]. The POS unfortunately only lasted till about 1991 and was gone forever, WP was the last company in the world to build such good refrigerators with POS interiors. This Sears ref should be a ref that could last 30-40 years if it was well cared for and continues to get good care. The current cost of operating it will easily exceed $100 per year, you could replace the fan motors with ECM motors and the 8 hour defrost timer with a 16 hour timer and reduce the running time and cost by about 30 dollars a year [ doing this would also make it last longer and keep food in the freezer longer ] | ||
