Calling Frigidaire Experts: Is this POD actually a 1956? If not, let me know and I'll try to change the subject line before time is called on editing.

I'd say this is where the design gurus at GM took a big step forward in the styling of washer consoles. Nearly every model year from this point forward brought sometimes stunning changes in consoles. Things settled down a bit from 1968-70. Consoles on the 1-18s were also fairly consistent.

The golden age of design and style for appliances.

Yes the washer showing is the 1956 Imperial Unimatic model. Love those Frigidaire illustrations, they are a work of fine art!

Here is a great example of a '56 that Bob has. I made the agitator rubber for it. These washers are a lot of fun to watch in action.
