I had a service call on the dryer last evening, the belt came off the motor drive pulley.
The dryer is a copy of a FD dryer with the center rear drum bearing. The machine is much larger in capacity than a FD.
Overall it is a cheap copy of a crappy FD dryer to start with, the tenant said this is the 3rd problem in the 3 years they have lived there, He said the matching washer has worked fine.
I would guess that these are 5-6 years old.

I remembered we had a thread about these. It appears that was already in 2012!
www.automaticwasher.org/c... IIRC these were available with a pulsator or an agitator. What did that washer have? |

Thanks for the link Louis
The dryer is diffidently a copy of a FD but is diffidently not built by FD, not one part is interchangeable with FD dryer parts [ except maybe a few screws, LOL ]
The washer looks like they borrowed a few things from F&P but again is very different, the washer does not have a lid lock and has a tub brake.

Haier is notorious for copying other companies designs.
I had a Haier dishwasher in a college apt. It was a horrible Frankenstein of GE and WP copies. Copied WP upper rack, GE lower rack. WP thunderbolt arm with a GE wash tower. The copied wash arm had the jets so aggressively angled (vs the subtle angling of the true WP thunderbolt arm) that it did a horrible wash job on the lower rack. It had a crude copy of the GE hrz pump…. Oddly enough with a real, Siemens GE motor…. I guess it’s fitting they bought GE. They don’t have to copy anymore. They have all the IP. |
