i was gonna strip down my kds-18 and throw away the frame and tub but decided to keep it.

took motor and pump off, put in new seal and now i cannot remember how these motor mounting clips work. thought i had pics of them fuly assembled on motor but can't find them, nor could i find any pics here in the archives.

anyone that can offer a pic or tell me how to install them, be my guest! it would be appreciated by me very much!

thanks!

Sorry Pete

It's been so long since I removed a KD-18 motor that I can't picture how. The service manual doesn't give much help in way of reassembly directions either. I imagine someone will chime in sooner or later.

I removed a motor from a KDS-19 15 years ago but I can't remember the process. May want to shoot Stevet an email.

Here's a shot from the following thread (Reply #15). Hopefully the picture is clear enough:

Hi Peter, you can probably see in the picture that Dan posted in reply number four how it goes in you lift up the curved handle you hook the tightly bent part of the bracket over the knobb on the top of the motor with the rubber against the porcelain tub And then you push down the curved handle and pushes against the top of the motor which puts downward tension on the motor, pulling it in a downward direction.

Thank you thank you thank you!

I knew you guys would be of help! The pics explain it all! And combo thanks to you too for the explaining!

This dishwasher is too nosstalgic to part out and toss. Hobarts first model with upper spray arm and redesigned pump and motor.

Although I like the previous series better I'm gonna give this one another shot at winning me over.

Gonna post a thread of it when I get it all back together. Thanks again to all!
