My Mom bought one of these Presto electric frying pans in ‘58 and she used that bad boy DAILY until ‘86 when I bought her a new, larger rectangle Presto electric frying pan. And even after she got the new one, she would still use her old ‘58 model once in while too. Those Presto frying pans were excellent work horses!

The Premier Upright Vacuum cleaner in #11 is just like the first vacuum I ever owned. It had belonged to my grandparents and when to bought a new Hoover Convertible upright in ‘55 they gave it to me because they knew I loved vacuum cleaners. I slept every night with my Royal Premier next to my bed. In fact I still have a small scar in the corner of my right eye near my nose that I got from rolling out of bed in my sleep and falling on my “Royal Creamaire” which I called it because I couldn’t pronounce “Premier” properly at the age of 4.

I remember that Frigidaire 4-on-the-door ad very well.

I am assuming that Admiral washer in the Tide commercial is a WCI product and not Norge.

I want the laundry tubs that go with the Maytag.
I want the Whirlpool washer.
The Frigidaire fridge is pretty cool. Did it last long and were the dispensers hard to keep clean?

Admiral Washer

Yes, WCI made. Same design as Gibson and Kelvinator of the day.

Washer/Dryer Combo Demise

I think I just realized what killed the combo machines. They are not twice as fast as the ads would claim, but probably twice as slow. With separate machines, you can have a second load of laundry washing while the first is drying, which for obvious reasons you cant do with a combo machine. I imagine when consumers realized this after buying these machines that the end was soon in coming.

For a quarter million $$$ you'd think RCA could have made the (4) 9" "television receivers" in color. And no recording capability either. But remember, money buys happiness and this store has a view of the future.

Photo #10 above, the ad copy references Water Softener.  Appears to be a 17 series?  I'd never heard that KA offered an onboard water softener.
